Race For Life

For the past two years, Rosie and I have taken part in the annual Race For Life in Dundee – a really fun event that is open to women of all ages, shapes and sizes and levels of fitness. It's a 5K run (or walk) around Camperdown Park in Dundee and those taking part have either lost someone they love to cancer, are living with the illness, or have overcome it. They are inspirational.

The Muscle Help Foundation

The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) is the brainchild of Michael McGrath who has Muscular Dystrophy. An extraordinary man, Michael is the first disabled person to reach both the North and South Poles and a truly inspirational motivational speaker. "Muscle Dreams" are transformational experiences in the UK for children and young people (8-28yrs) with muscular dystrophy or allied neuromuscular conditions. I am very proud to be patron of MHF.

Woodlands Respite Care Centre

Richard Gleadhill was diagnosed with MS in 2003 and while his symptoms allow, he plans to cycle from London to Geneva in aid of Woodlands Respite Care Centre. The ride starts on the 8th September and finishes 8 days later in Geneva, covering 675 very hilly miles. He will have to be in the saddle 8 hours a day and will push his symptoms to the limit. However, Richards philosophy is that he may have MS but it doesn't have him !!

You can sponsor him at http://www.justgiving.com/cycle4woodlands or follow him on Twitter http://twitter.com/cycle4woodlands
